Fire Relief Fund
Dear Church Family,
You have responded so generously, not only with your giving, but also with your love and care for the members of our congregation who were impacted by the fires in January. Because of your generosity, we are no longer needing to receive additional monies for the Fire Relief Fund and have removed the drop down option from the online giving page.
Thank you,
Pastor Dave

Assistive Listening System Available in Sanctuary
We offer an Assistive Listening System in the Sanctuary for those that have mild to moderate hearing loss. These small devices will provide direct audio during the entire worship service and will allow you to adjust the volume to meet your individual needs. You must sit in the main center section of the sanctuary to use the system. The system is not available in the North or South chapels.

Bob & Maria Hill
GEM Greece
Prayer & Praise
Praise God, Maria is hosting BSF for 20 Greek women over zoom.
Bob is now in the second week of classes at the Greek Bible College. We are off to a good start, with enrollment a bit up from last year. We are still recovering from COVID. This year there are some important things happening. One is that we are offering on-line classes for the first time. Our previous director was reluctant to go into this format, believing it would take away from the normal presence enrollment. (Live teaching is much better than digital!) One of the challenges is to have the materials available in Greek. (It's so much easier for an American school to do on-line classes, because there is so much material available. We have had to write or translate much of the material for the in-person classes, much less than on-line!) We have a couple of on-line classes that are starting up and this will help us plan for the future.
Visibly, the big thing going at the college right now is the landscaping of the back portion of the campus. Our grounds supervisor, Dominic, has done a fantastic job with the front that is visible to the public, but because of finances being thin, has left some of the remaining areas to be done. We've had a couple of gifts that have helped this summer to get started on his plans, which include laying tiles on the sidewalks, putting in plant beds, and the creation of a fire pit/gathering area. We are hoping to find a couple of guys to come from the States at the end of October to put in the decking in this area.
As a couple, we are highly invested in the local church we have been involved in planting. One of the recent developments is the creation of a non-profit civil society as a legal entity, which will create autonomy from the mother church. This is a big thing, and a good step towards recognition as an independent self-standing church. It has taken a lot of work, but we are grateful to God for the progress.
Please pray for these ongoing projects.

Chris & Laura Moyer
World Team France and Global Member Care
After a long period of persistent health struggles, we’ve made the challenging but hopeful decision for Laura to temporarily return to the United States for medical evaluation and treatment. We’ve been blessed by a doctor from one of our supporting churches who has offered to personally coordinate a thoughtful, comprehensive approach to her care. We’re deeply grateful for this unexpected provision.
Based on current medical recommendations, we anticipate that Laura’s time in the U.S. may extend from six to twelve months. During this time, the rest of our family will remain in France to maintain as much stability as possible for the kids, all of whom are in crucial academic years. The goal is for Laura to receive the care and rest she needs and, in time, to rejoin us in France.
Prayer & Praise
- All three kids have started their school year well and are adjusting with resilience.
- For the generous doctor in the U.S. offering coordinated care for Laura.
- For the many teammates and friends who have already stepped in to offer help and support here in France.
- For clarity and effectiveness in Laura’s medical care.
- For Chris as he manages the kids, household, and ongoing ministry responsibilities during this time apart.
- For continued peace and strength for the whole family in the months ahead.
