ISM Call for Proposals is now open for state and local government agencies. The 2022 ISM Annual Conference and Expo will be held October 23-26 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, MD—save the date and learn more about the focus areas and session types in our proposal guide. Submit proposals by March 18.

Seattle Jobs Initiative and APHSA have released the Provider Readiness Roadmap! The Roadmap is the first in a three-part series designed to help potential third-party providers to understand their readiness to become a provider, outline the steps to move forward in the process, and, if onboarded, to grow their SNAP E&T program.

State of WIC Report, February 2022 - The National WIC Association released their annual report as a resource for WIC providers, administrators, and researchers to detail the landscape of WIC services and emerging priorities, including the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Strategies for States to Improve Program Access and Efficiency, February 17, 2022 - This fact sheet from the Urban Institute identifies strategies based on a previous evaluation of the Work Support Strategies (WSS) initiative to support current federal priorities to improve the customer experience and reduce administrative burden. This resource highlights how states can streamline technology, policies, and business processes, and prioritize the customer’s point of view to improve the customer experience, advance equity by expanding access to supports, and reduce programs’ administrative burden on states.
Tax Outreach Materials for 2022 - New CTC and EITC Outreach resources for 2022 are being added to the Social Press Kit, including FAQs, flyers in multiple languages, social media graphics, and messaging toolkits that highlight the benefits of filing a tax return.

ACF is seeking comments on the State Child Welfare Data Linkages Study. The study will examine the extent to which states link administrative data on child maltreatment to data in other systems. Comments are due by April 12.

Supporting Families With Funding Streams to Prevent Child Welfare Involvement, February 14, 2022 - This blog from the Annie E. Casey Foundation features a series of interviews on six jurisdictions across the country using the Family First Prevention Services Act and other strategies to support family strengths and well-being before children are brought into the child welfare system.
The Economic Role of Paid Child Care in the U.S., February 2022 - The Committee for Economic Development (CED) has released a new report which is the first in a 4-part series. The initial release reviews participation trends in paid child care, the percent of household income that is spent on child care for those families who pay for it, and what characteristics are associated with families who pay for child care across states.

WorkRise has announced a request for proposals for pilot projects that test and evaluate public- and private-sector interventions designed to improve the economic mobility of low-wage workers. The WorkRise 2022 Pilot Projects for Advancing Economic Mobility RFP will award up to $2.5 million in grants. Benefit Eligibility Rules as Code: Reducing the Gap Between Policy and Service Delivery, February 2022 - A new guide from the Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation at Georgetown University, draws on research with U.S.-based delivery organizations including 18F, Alluma, MRelief, Benefits Data Trust, the NYC Mayor’s Office for Economic Opportunity, and field experts to explore how the U.S. federal government could utilize new approaches for the eligibility requirements of core programs to improve efficiency and equity of delivery.
