In 1962, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, was officially incorporated and licensed as a child welfare agency in the State of Illinois. The Agency has grown tremendously in 60 years, but our mission to serve the poor and vulnerable remains the same.

Kankakee Senior Expo

Our Senior Expo on July 15th at the Kankakee Public Library was a great success - many wonderful community resources were available for seniors to learn about and meet. We enjoyed seeing friends and meeting new people.

Immediate Intervention Grant

Catholic Charities has been awarded an Immediate Intervention Grant in the amount of $223,700 ($60,000 for our Counseling Program and $163,700 for Emergency Services/Homeless Prevention) in DuPage County. This funding will make a positive impact in the lives of our most vulnerable DuPage County residents.

This generous support is provided by the DuPage County Transformation Partnership, a collaboration between DuPage County and DuPage Foundation.

Dates are subject to change and more distributions may be added. Mobile Food Pantries are drive-thru events. Participants are asked to clear space in the trunks of their vehicles prior to arrival to ensure a contact-free experience.
