Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

Life is a gift from God and like all of God’s gifts, is to be received with joyful thanksgiving. Since the 1980s, the third Sunday of January has been recognized as a special day to remember and support the sanctity of human life. However, more importantly, Scripture teaches that all human life is made in God’s image, and therefore is imbued with dignity, and is to be honored, cherished and preserved. This is a biblical value to be lived out every day of the year, not just the 3rd Sunday in January. One tangible expression of our congregation’s commitment to the sanctity of human life is our support of Obria Media Clinics. For more information of Obria’s work, please go to their website at www.obria.org.

Prayer and Praise

Garrett & Lia Trainor

Italy

Praise

Garrett started his second to last semester at seminary. We are thankful for how God has brought us this far and provided for our needs.

Daniel is a joy and a little wonder child. He soldiered through the holiday madness well, even in the long drive to Arizona to visit family.

Prayer

We are hoping to have some important conversations this year with the mission agency in Italy that we visited last summer. Hopefully, plans to return definitively to Italy in 2025 will begin solidifying soon. Please pray for wisdom in discerning if Serenissima Ministries Group (SMG) is the agency God wants us to join.

We anticipate a lot of work in the coming months, so we need the fullness of the Spirit all the more.

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!” (Psalm 122:1)

To encourage us to prepare our hearts for worship,

here are the songs for this Sunday:

There is One Reason- Doug Plank

Look What God Has Done - Cam Huxford, Zach Bolen, Brian Eichelberger

Completely Done - Jonathan Baird, Ryan Baird, Rich Gunderlock

You Are My King (Amazing Love) – Billy Foote

And Can It Be That I Should Gain? – Charles Wesley, Thomas Campbell

Our God Alone – John Arndt, David Gungor
