Book of the Week

In Jesus Name I Pray

By Costi and Christyn Hinn, Guy Wolek

Ages 2-6

Someone told TJ the squirrel that he could ask for anything in Jesus’ name and it would happen. All the nuts in the entire forest? Done. Never to have to work hard again? Sure, no problem. To have a big tree house? Why not? All TJ needs to do is ask for anything he wants and make sure to say the magic words, “In Jesus’s name.” After all, isn’t

that how prayer works? Help your child develop a lifelong habit of effective, biblical prayer.

God’s safety and provision as Hurricane Milton made landfall in Florida

The Spanish Language Resources team is working on translating the major revision of our mission’s Culture and Language Acquisition method, which consists of three books with an accompanying smartphone app and desktop software – a very big and challenging project!

Steve’s current major project is the translation of PowerPoints and other materials for a Bible Translators’ workshop that will be held in January by the Ethnos360 Bible Translation Consultant team.

Praise God

Steve and Eida celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary this summer.

Steve spent a couple of weeks in August taking care of his mom and visiting supportive friends in San Jose, California. While there he edited a gospel presentation booklet for a friend of a fellow missionary.

Steve recently translated a curriculum guide to be covered in the Bible Translation portion of our Latin American training programs for cross-cultural church planters working with unreached tribal people groups. He is also regularly working on editing the Spanish versions of our mission's position papers on current issues that affect missions and the Church.

Luis and Ana Sanchez are former students of ours who have served for many years as church planters among the Emberá people group of Colombia. They want to buy property and put up a church building where the tribal believers can meet and be discipled so they can teach God's Word in the villages up and down the jungle rivers. Luis contacted to tell us they are thankful to the Lord because they have received the first donations toward that project!

We are VERY grateful for your faithful partnership with us in prayer and giving. May the Lord bless and keep you all.
