Christmas Offering

From now until the end of 2024, we will be collecting a special Christmas Offering. This year, our Christmas Offering will go to Worship Ministries. We have a number of pieces of equipment that need to be repaired or replaced to make our Sunday services and the use of our Sanctuary more effective. Please pray and prepare your offering as the Lord leads.

Special envelopes will be available Sunday morning, and you can also mail checks to the church with “Christmas Offering” noted on the memo line.

For giving online, you can select “Christmas Offering” from the drop-down menu.

These small devices will provide direct audio during the entire worship service and will allow you to adjust the volume to meet your individual needs. You must sit in the main center section of the sanctuary to use the system. The system is not available in the North or South chapels.

Prayers & Praise

Thank you so much for the very generous Thanksgiving/Christmas gift and for the love and encouragement that we feel from you all.

Our daughter, Esther, and her youngest, Kegan (12 yrs), came from Nova Scotia to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. We had a great week of making memories together.

In a couple of weeks, we plan to fly across the country to spend Christmas with Eida’s mother in Southern California. This will be her first Christmas since Vern, her husband, Eida’s stepfather, was taken to be with the Lord.

Then in January, Steve will be spending a couple of weeks with his mom in San Jose, California, taking a turn as caregiver.

It is a blessing to be able to work remotely. Some specific projects:

Spanish translation of materials for a Bible Translation Workshop – many extensive PowerPoints as well as worksheets and other handouts.

A Core Curriculum in Spanish for our training programs in Latin America. At least 100 pages long so far, and growing.

An updated Translators’ Manual, much revised and expanded from the previous one.
