In Children’s Ministries we believe that when children know God, they will love God and as a result, trust God. We aspire to accomplish these goals through teaching and programs that contain engaging Bible stories, creative activities, singing, playtime, prayer and special events. All of our curriculum is Bible-based and Christ-centered. We like to say, “We teach big truths kids can grow into and not watered down truths they will grow out of.”
Our ministry is growing! We praise God for the roughly 60 children, ages birth through 6th grade who come to church each week. We also see an average of one new family every Sunday visiting our church. It takes more than 100 volunteers and five staff to run our ministry every month.
Upcoming Events: Family Easter-Countdown Event on March 23rd with brunch, Easter story, treasure hunt and free countdown take-home bags for every family. This year’s VBS is June 11-14, 3:00-5:00 p.m. The theme is “The Perfect 10: Knowing God through the Ten Commandments.”
Prayer Requests: Pray for our parents as they strive to teach their little ones about the Lord. Pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of our students so that they would know, love and trust God. Pray for our teachers who faithfully serve. Pray for ways you might serve in this ministry – we are always in need of more helpers.
For additional information please contact Diane Acosta, Director of Children’s Ministries, dacosta@sangabrielcommunity.org.

Church Planting in Italy
We have been so honored to share with you what God is doing in our little corner of Italy during Global Outreach week! Thank you for being our family in California.
Please keep Italy and our plans to be there as tools for God’s kingdom in your prayers.
For Italy:
- That God would soften the hearts of Italians to the gospel.
- That the Italian government would not seek to restrict legal recognition of churches.
For the church:
- Physical resilience for church leaders. The work is great, and the workers are few.
- For unity and humility among believers.
- For the children and teenagers in the church to have a true and sincere faith that can withstand the trials of not having many believing friends.
For us:
- Clarity in conversations with Serenissima Ministry Group this Summer (both prior to our visit and during it)
- Wisdom as parents
- Peace and joy in the Lord — We love our work and life in Italy, but we are still dreading the big goodbye.
