2024 Resurrection Sunday Choir

We’re putting together an informal choir to sing along with the Worship Team this Easter! Much like we did last year, we’ll set up the risers and get a whole group of singers together to add to our big Resurrection Sunday morning service on Sunday, March 31st at 9:00 a.m.!

There are three mandatory rehearsals for all aspiring participants:

Tuesday, March 26, 7:00-8:45 p.m.

Saturday, March 30, 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Sunday, March 31, 7:30-8:30 a.m.

No audition or previous experience is required. Open to 7th grade and up.

Contact Donny Hoover (dhoover@sangabrielcommunity.org) if you’re interested in participating.

Last day to sign up is Sunday, March 10th.

Come Visit the Lost & Found

Our Sanctuary Lost and Found box is overflowing with Bibles, notebooks and umbrellas. Please stop by the Welcome Table and claim your items this Sunday before they are donated.

Thank you!

In Children’s Ministries we believe that when children know God, they will love God and as a result, trust God. We aspire to accomplish these goals through teaching and programs that contain engaging Bible stories, creative activities, singing, playtime, prayer and special events. All of our curriculum is Bible-based and Christ-centered. We like to say, “We teach big truths kids can grow into and not watered down truths they will grow out of.”

Our ministry is growing! We praise God for the roughly 60 children, ages birth through 6th grade who come to church each week. We also see an average of one new family every Sunday visiting our church. It takes more than 100 volunteers and five staff to run our ministry every month.

Upcoming Events: Family Easter-Countdown Event on March 23rd with brunch, Easter story, treasure hunt and free countdown take-home bags for every family. This year’s VBS is June 11-14, 3:00-5:00 p.m. The theme is “The Perfect 10: Knowing God through the Ten Commandments.”

Prayer Requests: Pray for our parents as they strive to teach their little ones about the Lord. Pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of our students so that they would know, love and trust God. Pray for our teachers who faithfully serve. Pray for ways you might serve in this ministry – we are always in need of more helpers.

For additional information please contact Diane Acosta, Director of Children’s Ministries, dacosta@sangabrielcommunity.org

This meeting is for all parents of Jr. High, High School, and College students as we enter into a new season of Student Ministries! We will have an opportunity to get to know Donny, meet the rest of the Youth Staff, hear some our overall goals and priorities, upcoming events, and more!

Master Plan Update

With the recent completion of the S-16 Children’s space (photo above), the Master Plan Committee is grateful to bring Phase One to a close! We thank God for his kindness and the congregation for their

financial and prayerful generosity. Through your giving, we were able to complete the Nursery and Mothers’ Room/conference room renovations, the Toddler Room, the Children’s Ministry space, refresh P-24 with new technology and rebuild A-25 as an Adult Education space, as well as upgrade windows, floors, hallways, and many other details that benefit the church and school.

We are waiting on calculations and bids for the revised Courtyard and an elevator/lift and will present Phase Two details to the congregation once the Elders have approved them. While there are some funds left in the Master Plan budget, the majority has been spent, so most of Phase Two will require additional fundraising to start work.

We thank God for the gift of this campus! To donate to Phase Two, envelopes are available in the lobby or click on this Master Plan link.

If you have any questions, contact msaucy@sangabrielcommunity.org.
