In The Basement

Please join us for a sweet time of worship, fellowship and learning more about our great God. Our Speaker will be Michelle Spansel. Michelle grew up in Southern Ohio before attending and graduating from The Master’s College with a Liberal Studies degree and a teaching credential. Michelle has been involved in education for the last 30 years. Her greatest joy has been the ministry of mothering her 7 children and serving alongside her husband as a pastor’s wife. Mark and Michelle are planting Redeemer Church in Santa Clarita and her passion is to equip women with the truth of God’s Word.

We will also have six of our own ladies from church who will be sharing their personal testimonies of finding joy during difficult times.

Sign-ups are extended through this Sunday, we hope to see you there.

Bible Institute Class Wednesday Evenings

Our new Bible Institute class is "Understanding Scripture Through Arcing." This course is designed to help us follow the Biblical author’s train of thought. Each statement in a passage is represented visually by a small semicircle (“arc”), making it possible to literally see the flow of ideas in a passage. And the questions that we ask in deciding how to draw each arc help us discover the main point the author is making.

The class is taught by Pastor Greg and offered Wednesday nights from 7:00–8:30 p.m. in the Stewart Lounge for seven weeks, April 17–June 5 (no class on May 15). For more information, please contact Pastor Greg at ggolden@sangabrielcommunity.org.

Begins Sunday, April 28

North Chapel

Membership Classes will be offered during the Sunday School hour beginning April 28. This four-week series is perfect for those interested in pursuing church membership or just wanting to learn more about SGCC. Please contact Garrett Trainor for more information at gtrainor@sangabrielcommunity.org.

We are now able to offer an Assistive Listening System in the Sanctuary for those that have mild to moderate hearing loss. We currently have four devices available for use and more devices can be added as needed.

These small devices will provide direct audio during the entire worship service and will allow you to adjust the volume to meet your individual needs.

You must sit in the main center section of the sanctuary to use this new system. The system is not available in the North or South chapels.

If you would like to take advantage of this new system, please stop by the soundbooth before the service.

Greg & Kathleen Parsons - Frontier Ventures

  • Thank God that the website for the Research Center that Greg helps lead has launched.

  • Pray that we can get some technical help in this area.

  • Pray for new technically skilled staff in other ministry areas as well.

  • Pray for wisdom and discernment for Greg and the FV leadership team as strategic planning and budget preparations pick up pace between March and June, with a new ministry year beginning July 1.

  • Pray for Greg to get focused time to finish specific projects.

  • Pray for his travel to the Asian Mobilization Summit in Indonesia, April 27-May 3.

  • Pray for Kathleen’s responsibilities for FV’s electronic giving. We are shifting to a new CMS system, and this always has a learning curve.

  • Praise for our financial partners. Pray we can get to full support as we seek to raise more ministry funds.

  • Pray that we will hear what God’s Spirit is saying to us and to respond, giving glory to Him with our lives and hearts.

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!” (Psalm 122:1)
