Pastor Steve’s radio program Growing In Grace will now be airing in Lebanon on Belight.FM, the radio ministry of Lighthouse Arab World. Growing In Grace will air on Monday’s at 4:30 PM (that’s 6:30 AM in California) and will repeat five times during the week. In addition to the airwaves throughout Lebanon, Growing In Grace can be heard throughout the Arab World and beyond on Belight.FM’s website and mobile app! Pray that God would use this opportunity to open hearts to the gospel and encourage the church.

Pastor Dave

During Sunday School in North Chapel

Membership class began last Sunday. This four-week series is perfect for those interested in pursuing church membership or just wanting to learn more about SGCC. Please contact Garrett Trainor for more information at gtrainor@sangabrielcommunity.org.

We are now able to offer an Assistive Listening System in the Sanctuary for those that have mild to moderate hearing loss. We currently have four devices available for use and more devices can be added as needed.

These small devices will provide direct audio during the entire worship service and will allow you to adjust the volume to meet your individual needs.

You must sit in the main center section of the sanctuary to use this new system. The system is not available in the North or South chapels.

If you would like to take advantage of this new system, please stop by the soundbooth before the service.

Imed and Ellie Dabbour - Middle East, Lighthouse Arab World

As a reminder, we ask not to repost or share update below on any social media

Please pray –

  • for the safety of the staff and God’s leading in the work they are undertaking.
  • for a program that addresses issues faced by women in the Arab world.
  • that the content shared resonates with those watching and draws them to Christ.
  • God’s strength as Ellie handles the passing of her brother and all the details involved.
  • Ellie and Imed are stateside currently and using this time for fund development, meeting with churches, caring for Ellie’s mom and celebrating their son Zack’s college graduation. Pray for strength during this time and for God’s wisdom.

Praise God –

  • for one woman who was touched by the show and gave her life to Christ.
  • Several members of the Lighthouse AW team recently attended a Christian media convention. This event proved to be a fruitful opportunity for collaboration and networking, with our team making connections with individuals and organizations from across the globe. Please pray for the possibilities that have emerged from our participation in this event.
  • for developments that are underway as Lighthouse Arab World works to bring The Chosen to Arabic-speaking audiences. We have undertaken the task of dubbing and subbing (providing subtitles) the series in classical Arabic, Egyptian, and Syrian. Soon, viewers across the Middle East will have the opportunity to experience the transformative story of Jesus Christ in their native language. Additionally, we are preparing to release The Chosen in Arabic on secular TV channels and social media platforms in the coming months, reaching a wide audience and sparking meaningful conversations about faith and spirituality.

Ken and Phyllis Lloyd

Dear Friends, on May 7 we will be at the Cleveland Clinic for a consultation with a doctor. Phyllis had surgery on her femur March, 2023. Last December the X-Ray showed that the ball and rod had moved in her femur. We were not able to find any help in Florida but through a friend we were directed to Cleveland Clinic.

We will fly from Orlando on May 6 and stay overnight at a hotel on the Clinic grounds. Please pray Doctor Piuzzi will give us good advice about our next steps.

Michelle who is Phyllis' other caregiver besides me, will go with us. Lynette, our daughter will go over to the Clinic on May 6 and be in on the May 7 consultation. Lynette lives in Pennsylvania about 2 hours away.

Under Jesus' Yoke,

Ken and Phyllis

This Sunday, the Worship Team will introduce a song called, “Sing” by David Zimmer and Nathan Stiff (writers of “Your Words Are Wonderful” and others). This was sung at our Jr. High and High School Winter Camp, Men’s Conference, Women’s Conference, and even in our San Gabriel Christian School chapels!

It will be a great addition to our collection of Sunday morning songs, so make sure to check out the link and give it a listen so you’re ready to sing along this weekend!
