Join us this Saturday for

Dadurday!

Dear Church Family,

The Hemphill Scholarship fund has been a valuable tool to encourage and assist those who are pursuing education for full-time Christian ministry. Historically, we have taken a special offering on the first Sunday in June to provide for the scholarship fund. Remarkably, last year the congregation was so generous that there is still a substantial balance in the scholarship fund and therefore we will not need to take an offering this year.

I am also pleased to announce that our scholarship award recipient for the coming school year is Jonathan Balentine. Jonathan will be continuing his M.Div. program at The Master’s Seminary in preparation for full-time pastoral ministry.

In love and thanksgiving,

Pastor Dave

Growing in Grace News

Pastor Steve’s radio program Growing In Grace will now be airing in Lebanon on Belight.FM, the radio ministry of Lighthouse Arab World. Growing In Grace will air on Monday’s at 4:30 PM (that’s 6:30 AM in California) and will repeat five times during the week. In addition to the airwaves throughout Lebanon, Growing In Grace can be heard throughout the Arab World and beyond on Belight.FM’s website and mobile app! Pray that God would use this opportunity to open hearts to the gospel and encourage the church.

Pastor Dave

We are now able to offer an Assistive Listening System in the Sanctuary for those that have mild to moderate hearing loss. We currently have four devices available for use and more devices can be added as needed.

These small devices will provide direct audio during the entire worship service and will allow you to adjust the volume to meet your individual needs.

You must sit in the main center section of the sanctuary to use this new system. The system is not available in the North or South chapels.

If you would like to take advantage of this new system, please stop by the soundbooth before the service.

Our members, Grace Balentine and Peter Otoshi, will be going on missions trips this summer. They've shared prayer requests pertaining to their trips. Please join us in praying for them.

Grace Balentine

Togo

  • Pray that the Gospel would be spread, and people would give their lives to Christ.
  • Pray that the team would be able to help the missionaries and encourage them in their Kingdom service.
  • Pray that our team would work well together, ultimately bringing glory to the Lord.

Peter Otoshi

Nigeria

  • Pray that God would purify and advance His church in Nigeria and the spread of the Gospel amidst heavy persecution.
  • Pray that God would use this opportunity to direct my steps in fulfilling the Great Commission, whether locally or abroad.
  • Pray for the Spirit of God to fill me with His love and wisdom to boldly and winsomely interact with unbelievers.
  • Pray for physical safety and health as I travel, adjust to the culture and climate, and navigate situations with risk.
  • Pray that I would know God better and delight in Him more through a disciplined prayer life and fellowship with believers.

I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!” (Psalm 122:1)

To encourage us to prepare our hearts for worship,
