"Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons.
You, Sisterhood members, are worth more than gold.

Thank you Sisterhood women, for your tremendous support!
We enjoyed seeing many of you for our Membership Appreciation event last month! Sisterhood members are such a caring, compassionate group, you are all greatly appreciated. Despite difficult times the last two years, our membership is thriving, with Tribute Fund donations increasing 64% from 2019. This fund consists of donations over and above base Sisterhood membership dues. Your generosity has helped us ensure our traditional events took place, and allowed Sisterhood to creatively adapt, adjust and add programs to meet the changing social environment within our congregation.

With your support, the financial strength and stability of Sisterhood has enabled us to contribute significantly to our Congregation's new religious school format, "YALLA" for our youth, as well as continue to provide financial support for many of our Congregational needs. Sisterhood will continue to evolve and stay relevant to the needs of our Congregation. Have ideas on how Sisterhood can do this? Please let us know, we'd love to hear from you! Email us at [email protected]
Have a fabulous Fall!

A Lotta Stuff at Stan's
Sisterhood’s Membership Appreciation Luncheon was held this year on Sunday, September 26. It was a covid safe environment held outside and tented. We had a great turnout of amazing women and it was a beautiful day, enjoyed by all.

Todah Rabah to Hilary Fried, Programming V.P., Susan Himmelstein and Kristi Kanarek for planning a wonderful event. Delicious boxed lunches were served from Scratch Catering. Thank you to Rabbi Kramer for her enlightening, high note speech showing her deep level of support to Sisterhood. She even spoke of her childhood dream of being a Sisterhood member. Thank you to Amanda Morgan-King, Congregation President, for participating and introducing our Sisterhood Board of Directors. Roses were presented to new Sisterhood members, too. Community service was also part and parcel of the event with donations of toiletries made to our local domestic violence shelter, Safehome.

Jody Cosner was honored as the 2021 Shoshana Award recipient for her many years of dedicated service to Sisterhood and the community. Marcia Soltz, Lois Bernstein and Jody’s mother, Barbara Cosner presented her with the award and Jody’s daughter, Hillary Kidwell, was beaming with pride over her mother’s honor. Jody gave a heart felt speech and clearly enjoyed three generations, L'Dor v Dor, of her family together at the luncheon. Jody's name was added to a beautiful new plaque honoring all our past Shoshana recipients, which can be viewed in the Judaica Shop.

Big kudos to Kristi Kanarek for chairing the successful challah fundraiser. Kristi and her volunteers decorated and worked on the pick up day, many thanks to them. Many families enjoyed the delicious challahs and 72 challahs were donated to the JFS to distribute to families in need for the holidays.
We thank everyone who bought challahs and helped support our Sisterhood, the Congregation and JFS.

MOVING? CLEANING UP?
HELP SUPPORT SISTERHOOD, TOO!

You will get a tax donation form and Sisterhood gets a percentage of the earnings thanks to our Sisterhood member, Lori Siegel, the owner of the resale shop "A Lotta Stuff at Stan's."

Items should be in the garage boxed and ready to go. If necessary she can help clean out and remove usable items from your home for a reasonable charge. Lori can use almost any item as long as it is not ripped, stained, broken, and still has some usefulness.

Covid safety guidelines are followed. Please mention Sisterhood!

To arrange a pick-up, please call Lori's cell, 816-668-3960, or
