50 years of gratitude celebration:
You're invited!
The feast of St. Jane de Chantal (August 12), one of the spiritual patrons of our parish, reminds me of her words in a letter of spiritual direction, “Live joyously and courageously, never doubting that Jesus Christ is entirely yours.” St. Jane understood that Christ is the source and summit of all our joy. This gives us both the reason and the desire to celebrate, which is exactly what we will do as a parish on August 27, beginning with the 5:30 pm Saturday evening Mass. With the Bishop as the principal celebrant, we will give thanks for the dedication and sacrifice of the hundreds of parishioners who built the new church, for the one-year anniversary of the dedication of the new church, and for our 52nd anniversary as Holy Infant Catholic Community. Our worship and festivities on August 27 are our chance to show our gratitude to God and to one another. The Mass will be followed by food and fun and will feature music and a 17 foot high water slide; bring your bathing suits, St. Jane would!

Peace,
Father Robert

Weekly Wisdom

“Hearts in conflict are closed to heavenly graces, but hearts united in love are open to receive all of God's gifts.”
- St. Jane de Chantal

Who is St. Jane de Chantal?
St. Jane de Chantal, whose feast day we celebrate on August 12, founded Visitation Monasteries in France along with St. Frances de Sales. Why is she so important to the story of the Oblates of St. Frances de Sales, who have served our parish faithfully for 50 years? Learn more here.

This statue of St. Jane de Chantal was made for our church by DeMetz Art Studios. She is located on the back left wall of the nave. Stop by and see her!
