What's good? Congress passed the PACT Act last week expanding VA healthcare and benefits for Veterans exposed to burn pits and other toxic substances. This law helps us provide generations of Veterans—and their survivors—with the care and benefits they’ve earned and deserve. Are you connected to the VA healthcare and benefits system? We can help.
STAT OF THE WEEK 247 According to our stats, VBH has connected 247 Veterans from 35 counties in North Carolina with VA benefits so far in 2022. If you have not connected with the VA benefits you earned through your military service, you could be missing out on healthcare and financial benefits. If you have been "meaning to do this," reach out to us here and we will help you figure it out.

Skittles. From sour to tropical to the rare package found in an MRE, who doesn’t love to taste the rainbow?

For anyone worried that a tour of duty in Europe may mean a Skittles sabbatical, worry not. While the colorful candy is now banned across much of the European continent, Army and Air Force Exchange Service stores will continue to stock the brand. Read More

If there is one indisputable fact, it’s that dinosaurs are awesome. Anyone who disagrees is entitled to that opinion, but they are simply wrong.

NCServes is the first state-wide network to coordinate care for Veterans and their families.
Every Veteran and every family is different.

Therefore their care must be tailored to meet their unique needs. The only way all of these needs can be met is through a networked approach.

Ask if the organization you are working with if they are a NCServes member.
COVID RESOURCES Know Your COVID-19 Community Level

COVID-19 Community Levels are a new tool to help communities decide what prevention steps to take based on the latest data. Levels can be low, medium, or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area. Take precautions to protect yourself and others from COVID-19 based on the COVID-19 Community Level in your area.
