CMC SUMMER RESIDENCY PROGRAMME JULY 2016
CMC is delighted to announce the two recipients of this year's Summer Residency, Alice Jago and David Coonan. Both recipients will avail of an apartment in Temple Bar provided by Dublin City Council during the programme. The CMC library is at their full disposal and they will also be able to make use of rehearsal space.  CMC is delighted to be able to facilitate these intense study periods and maximise the use of its building across the summer months. Alice Jago, CMC Summer Residency Recipient

   
Alice Jago will use the residency to work on her MPhil research project, incorporating elements of sound design and live electronics with narrative songwriting.  She is completing her research at Trinity College under the supervision of Dr Linda Buckley and Jimmy Eadie.
David Coonan, CMC Summer Residency Recipient
David Coonan will use the CMC library and keyboard to work on a new piece for The Galway Music Residency RTE Contempo Quartet, and also develop a work for Vivre Musicale and their Artistic Director, clarinettist Berginald Rash.

WOOD QUAY SUMMER SESSIONS LUNCHTIME CONCERT 

T he Wood Quay Summer Sessions are a series of free lunchtime concerts which will take place in Dublin City Council Civic Offices Amphitheatre each Thursday in July. 

CMC is delighted to be involved in this year's Wood Quay Summer Sessions, with some very special contemporary music performances coming up on Thursday 14th July at 1pmwith two of Ireland's most exciting musicians, Sean Mac Erlaine & Alex Petcu Colan. Admission is free so grab your lunch, bring your friends and join us this Thursday! 


CMC OPPORTUNITY: LIBRARY COORDINATOR POSITION
CMC is seeking a L ibrary  Coordinator to join our dynamic team in August 2016. 
The Library Coordinator is responsible for the cataloging and maintenance of CMC's specialist collection of contemporary music from Ireland and provides support to members of the public using the Centre's library and CMC's online audiences. The Library Coordinator is also required to contribute to the development of promotional projects related to CMC's  collection in collaboration  with CMC colleagues .
