The Traverse City Curling Club is curling on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8:00 pm. We have 54 members engaged in league play and we will curl until March 11th.
We have seen a surge in Learn to Curl participants this year. We have had 41 participants so far and we have 10 more registered to "give it a curl" during upcoming classes.
Learn To Curl Class (2-hour sessions):
There are still open spots for our Learn to Curl sessions on February 25 and March 4 at 8:00 pm. Only one 2-hour session is required to sign up for club membership and to play or sub for league play. These sessions focus on the basics of the game with on-ice instruction of basic curling skills. Click Here for additional information and to register for Learn to Curl.
Club Playdown/Funspiel:
The club will be holding their annual Club Playdown/Funspiel on March 20. Club members may register a team and compete in the Playdown. The top four teams will qualify for the upcoming Cherry Bombspiel. Other members who only want to curl may participate in Funspiel pick-up games during the day.
Cherry Bombspiel returns to Centre Ice Arena on April 23-25:
The Traverse City Curling Club will hold their annual curling tournament (bonspiel) the weekend of April 23-25. This year, the event will be revised as a "safe" event by minimizing social activity. Teams will show up at Centre Ice to curl at designated game times and will not linger and socialize. This is a divergence from our normal "party," but the club is focused on safety. We are excited to be able to hold a curling event!
