Theme of the week - God is Triune

Sunday's Sermon Lesson - Matthew 28:16-20

Series Theme: Say it Out Loud

The Season after Pentecost features what Christ teaches, and Christians in every vocation are encouraged to say it out loud. The truths of God’s Word are good for the soul, useful for life, and more reliable than anything else in the world. Watch out for false teachers who come with wise sounding words and pious promises, but who do not base everything on the Word of God! Give thanks to the Lord for faithful servants in the ministry of the gospel and those who support them!

Theme of the Day: God is Triune

We believe in the triune God. He is the only true God. The festival of the Holy Trinity is a time to celebrate God revealing himself to us as one God in three persons. The triune God wants his people to teach this mystery in its biblical truth and purity. This festival of the Holy Trinity begins the second half of the Church Year with a proclamation of people being baptized and blessed in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the only true God.

Our book study has begun. Please pick up your books if you haven't already. They are available in the entryway with your name on it.

There is a weekly in-person study at church on Thursdays at 6:30 pm. You may join us online live via Zoom at the same time.

Our next meeting will be Thursday, June 18th.

There is a Facebook group where you can participate any time.

Pastor Visits

If you haven't visited personally with Pastor Schneider, please consider a time you could meet up. The visit only needs to last a half hour, though it can be longer if you wish. He just wants to get to know you a little better, learn some of your background, and any issues you may have currently going on in life. It's also a great time to ask any questions you may have of your pastor.

You can choose to meet at a coffee shop, restaurant, your home, or at Rock of Ages. If distance or scheduling makes it difficult to meet in person, you may also schedule a video chat (Zoom or Google Chats).

You may schedule by calling or texting Pastor Schneider at: 708-582-9608. Or you can use our online scheduling system, which lets you know Pastor's availability.

Want more Jesus from home?

Try Time of Grace

The mission of Time of Grace is to point people to what matters most: Jesus. Using a variety of media (television, radio, podcasts, print publications, and digital), Time of Grace teaches tough topics in an approachable and relatable way, accessible in multiple languages, making the Bible clear and understandable for those who need encouragement in their walks of faith and for those who don’t yet know Jesus at all.

Register today for Taste of Missions, a celebration of gospel outreach and the commissioning of new home and world missionaries. The event begins with a special worship service, where we’ll joyfully send these missionaries to share Christ’s love around the globe.

Following the service, enjoy ethnic cuisine from mission fields, connect with fellow attendees, and hear firsthand accounts from missionaries about their work. Explore mission displays, participate in interactive activities, and ask questions during a panel discussion for deeper insights into the joys and challenges of mission work.

The worship service is free and open to all.

I'm Pastor Michael Schneider, serving you here at Rock of Ages. Please let me know if you ever want to talk, if you have a prayer request, if you want a hospital visit or home visit, or if there is some other way I can better serve you spiritually. Peace to you in Jesus!
