Happy New Year! I hope you had a great holiday season and were able to enjoy at least a little time off with friends or family.
 
Lots of great things happening at the Chamber an in Rowlett so be sure to read the entire newsletter but I want to point out just a couple.  
 
Saturday, January 27th at 7pm we are having the 39th Annual Community Awards Banquet. Lots of individuals and businesses will be recognized including First Responders (Police, Fire and Public Works) and Teachers as well as Business of the Year, the Biff Bettencourt Outstanding Service Award and of course, the Big "R" Pacesetter Award! Voting will go out soon to the primary rep from each Chamber member so be sure to look for that.
 
I also want to briefly mention an exciting membership event coming in March. Lots more details will be forthcoming but I know you will be excited so stay tuned!

Host a Friday Night Live
 
Friday Night Live is a membership (and their invited guests) event.
 
Host Business Responsibilities:
  1. Provide two contacts who have the authority to make decisions concerning the event.
  2. Promote the event to your customer base.
  3. Provide food, drinks & a door prize at the event. Alcoholic beverages (beer & wine for example) should be offered along with non-alcoholic.
Chamber Responsibilities:
  1. Ambassadors will promote the event to their member contact list.
  2. Two email-blasts will go out to all members the week of the event.
  3. The event will be posted to the Chamber Facebook page twice weekly leading up to the event.
  4. Event will be promoted at Chamber events.
  5. Pictures of the event will be posted on the Chamber website.
