Boxes of Joy
For Children Who Wish for Just One Gift!
As an early Christmas service project, our Archdiocese participates in Cross Catholic Outreach's Box of Joy program. For many poor children around the world, a box of joy filled with small toys, school supplies, healthcare products, a rosary, and the story of Jesus is the only gift they may receive. If you are able to help, see the list of items we are collecting by class. Our Disciples of St. Michael will help to pack items in boxes for delivery to Cross Catholic Outreach.

The Cougars of the month at Corpus Christi are optimistic. They follow Jesus and set examples for their classmates by being friendly, forgiving, cheerful and hopeful. We recognized our September Cougars of the Month after Mass on Oct. 8th. Four of our "Cougar of the Month" students, in addition to a faculty/staff member, are selected to receive the September Partners in Education Award from among the Cougar of the Month honorees. Bible Verse for October: Hebrews 13:8
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”
Prayer for October:
Hail Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O, sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Virtues in Education: This Week's Virtue is PRAYERFULNESS
Meaning: Being still, listening, and being willing to talk to God as a friend
Ways to Cultivate Prayerfulness
Prayerfulness looks like:
Folding my hands when I pray
Prayerfulness sounds like:
Silence
Prayer for Prayerfulness
Dear Jesus, I desire to have You as my best friend. Give me a desire to spend time with You each day, as I do with my friends. Help me always to put You first in my life, even when I am busy.
