Boxes of Joy

For Children Who Wish for Just One Gift!

As an early Christmas service project, our Archdiocese participates in Cross Catholic Outreach's Box of Joy program. For many poor children around the world, a box of joy filled with small toys, school supplies, healthcare products, a rosary, and the story of Jesus is the only gift they may receive. If you are able to help, see the list of items we are collecting by class. Our Disciples of St. Michael will help to pack items in boxes for delivery to Cross Catholic Outreach.

Living Our Faith

Bible Verse for October: Hebrews 13:8

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”

Prayer for October:

Hail Holy Queen

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,

our life, our sweetness, and our hope.

To you do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us, and after this exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O, sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Virtues in Education: This Week's Virtue is PATRIOTISM

Meaning: Paying due honor and respect to one's country, with a willingness to serve

Ways to Cultivate Patriotism

Patriotism looks like:

Showing respect for your country's flag: saying the Pledge of Allegiance

Patriotism sounds like:

I pledge allegiance to the flag...

Prayer for Patriotism

Dear Jesus, please bless my country and all those who work hard to lead it. May You always be King of this land. May You be glorified through its government and laws. Give me a heart of service.
