Dear Marseilles Residents,
This summer has been some exciting times for the City. After 6 years of grant writing, engineering, IDOT, LaSalle County, red tape and hoops to jump through the Rutland Street sidewalk is finally being completed and should be done within the next few weeks. The City has received many compliments on it.
The City presently has 5 new homes under construction with the possibility of more before winter.
The Broadway Park project is scheduled to commence the week of August 5th. Bids have been awarded for street improvements.
City officials and the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce did an official ribbon cutting ceremony for the Grand Opening of Fore on Main. We wish Nick and Molly Kaminski the best on their new business venture.
The City is excited to announce that a new Mexican Restaurant, El Patron will be opening soon at 485 Main Street.
The City has been working diligently to have our store fronts occupied. This will be the second one. Mayor has been meeting with other potential investors/businesses. Hopefully more announcements will be coming, in the future.
