Hello,

My name is Kate Vulje, and I’m a Junior at Liberty North High School. The week of January 30th through February 3rd, Liberty North and Liberty High Schools are partnering in a fundraiser for Warriors Best Friend. This organization supports both schools and military veterans by providing therapy dogs. This initiative will conclude the evening of the basketball match between Liberty North vs. Liberty on Friday, February 3rd at 7 p.m. at the Liberty North Fieldhouse. This same evening will also be a Cancer Awareness night - Once again the Liberty North, and Liberty High school communities will stand as ONE COMMUNITY to bring awareness, and fight against Cancer!

The theme for the night is CAMO - feel free to wear pink with your CAMO as we unite for two great causes. We invite the community to participate by attending the game wearing pink or CAMO or both, and by donating to Warriors Best Friend (we will have a silent auction for great prizes, and are selling raffle tickets.) We also want to invite the community to honor those who have or are serving our country by writing their names on our honorary posts available that evening.

The community will be given the opportunity to donate money, purchase a bracelet, and/or opt-in for our auction. Every $5 dollars donated will be entered into a raffle to win several prizes from many of our communities, local businesses, and corporations (the money from the bracelets is not counted as an entry)! Donations will assist Warriors Best Friend in their ability to place and train additional support dogs! Additionally, proceeds will go towards a campaign to support the financial costs of Liberty North High School and Liberty High School’s service dogs.

If you are interested in donating, there will be a table set up during lunch at both high schools from January 30th through February 3rd to bring your donations to and get entered into the raffle, you can also find our bracelets at this table too! If you are unable to make an in-person donation, but would still like to support, we have opened a virtual option through Revtrak to make a monetary contribution. This option also enters you for our raffle which will be opened on January 20th and end on February 1st at 11:59 p.m.

Please click here to make your donation today (click on the Warriors Best Friend icon).

We appreciate your support.

A few things to think about -

  • Download the Processing Guide! It will walk you step by step through the application process.
  • Don’t be afraid of the essay! It is a great way for a scholarship committee to get to know you a little better. You are awesome and have so much to offer! Let them see that too!
  • Some of these scholarships ask you to submit an additional essay. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to write, edit and submit it with your application.
  • Some scholarships ask for a letter of recommendation. Be sure to give your recommender plenty of time to write a letter and submit it on your behalf. 15 business days is a good rule of thumb.
  • Refer to the Helpful Tips for Scholarships page for suggestions on how to ask for letters of recommendation and how to send the perfect email.
  • Don’t be overwhelmed! We know it looks like a lot, but we promise it really is just 3 easy steps to apply!
  • Ready to go? Head to the application and get started!
