The Counseling Center would like to make you aware of the Talk Dot. The Talk Dot is a sticker staff members display on their classroom doors, computers, or belongings. This sticker signifies to students that they are safe adults in a safe space willing to listen and help them through challenging situations. If you are a student looking for someone to talk to, please visit the Counseling Center or find a staff member displaying the Talk Dot sticker. Please see the picture below as a reference.
RECURRING NEWS
STUDENTS/PARENTS:
Counselors completed classroom lessons last week in Math classes to discuss their Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) that is recorded in the student's SchooLinks account. Each student was then asked to schedule a meeting with their counselor to discuss plans individually. These meetings will be held between October-December. Please connect with your child/student to see what they have planned for the future! Is your child/student still unsure about the future? SchooLinks has a couple of great career assessments to guide them along.
SENIORS:
If you are wanting a different name listed on your diploma other than what is listed in PowerSchool, please email gail.stark@lps53.org before the end of the semester.

College and Military representatives visit LNHS throughout the school year. Students are encouraged to sign up for these opportunities to ask questions and find out more information! These visits are a great way to start the post-secondary thought process and provide a free experience before going to the campus! Sign up on SchooLinks or see Ms. Stukes in the Counseling Center.
ALL STUDENTS: College visits are In Person and located in the Eagles Nest. Make sure you are registering for the visit through SchooLinks. Check back often as new visits are scheduled almost daily.
