At this event open to the public, all are welcome to hear Dr. Jerome Schultz speak on the topic Kids With LD/ADHD: Turning Stress into Fuel for Success. Registration will begin at 6:15 PM and the program will begin at 6:30 PM. STUDENT COUNCIL BOOK DRIVE
Wednesday, December 20 to Friday, January 19
All are encouraged to contribute new and gently used children's books (aged birth through 6th grade) to Cove's Junior High Student Council book drive. The books will be donated to Bernie's Book Bank.  For more information, please contact Donna Torf at  dtorf@coveschool.org .

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAME
Tuesday, January 9

Cove's High School Yellow team will play Vernon Hills at 4:30 PM at Cove.  A snack will be provided. Pick up from Cove will be at 5:15 PM. For more information, please contact Rob Wachowiak at rwachowiak@coveschool.org.

HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL GAME

SPECIAL OLYMPICS QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT 
Sunday, January 14

Cove is excited to have several teams participating in the Special Olympics Region B HS and JH Qualifying Basketball Tournament.  The winners of each division will qualify for the State Championship Tournament in Bloomington-Normal on March 16th and 17th.  View the game schedule at Jacobs High School here and the game schedule at Hersey High School here. The Cove teams' schedules are as follows: 
  • HS BLUE: Hersey HS Fieldhouse Court 5 11:10 AM and 12:30 PM
  • HS YELLOW: Hersey HS Auxiliary Gym Court 4 8:30 AM and 9:50 AM
  • HS WHITE: Jacobs HS Main Gym Court 2 9:50 AM and 11:10 AM
  • JH BLUE: Jacobs HS Fieldhouse Court 5 8:30 AM and 11:10 AM
  • JH YELLOW: Hersey HS Fieldhouse Court 6 8:30 AM and 9:50 AM

DAVE & BUSTERS HIGH SCHOOL SOCIAL EVENT

DAD'S/SPECIAL FRIEND'S BOWLING EVENT

ERIN'S LAW PARENT INFORMATION NIGHT 
Monday, January 29

All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend this informational event from 6:30 PM to 8 PM at Cove regarding Erin's Law, a House Bill requiring schools to implement  age-appropriate sexual assault and abuse awareness and prevention curriculum. JUNIOR HIGH MUSICAL
Tuesday, January 30
Cove's Junior High will perform the musical Schoolhouse Rock at 1:30 PM and 6:30 p.m. in the Cove School gym. It will feature songs loved by generations of kids and adults! ELEMENTARY AND JUNIOR HIGH SOCIAL EVENT
Friday, February 2

All elementary and junior high students can enjoy swimming, rock climbing and pizza at the Lifetime Fitness in Skokie. Students will take a bus from school and be back at Cove for pick up at 6:30 PM. Please fill out the attached permission slip with payment to Cove's front office by Monday, January 29. There are activities for all interests, including mathematics, robotics, homework help, sports, music and so much more. Please note that parents are responsible for arranging transportation home from after school programs. Welcome to our new and returning Cove families from the Cove School PTO and your Box Tops for Education Coordinator! This year we are ramping up our efforts to collect  Box Tops for Education, with a goal to earn $1000! Check out the Cove School Virtual Backpack for information about participating products ( click here), the new mobile app ( click here), and for collection sheets (optional to use). You can submit your  Box  Tops any time that you want, but our first BIG deadline is  October 15, 2017.
