Elementary and junior high students are attending the Halloween costume and dance party from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM tonight at The Cove School. HIGH SCHOOL "KICKIN IT WITH COVE" DANCE

All high students are invited to the Fall dance from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at The Cove School.  This year's theme is 'Kickin' it with Cove." HALLOWEEN SCHOOL DAY ACTIVITIES
Wednesday, October 31


High school students will be treated to bagels with scream cheese and juice compliments of the Parent Association and are encouraged to dress in school appropriate costumes. 
Elementary and Junior High students will take part in our annual Halloween parade starting at 1:30 PM, followed by festive activities in their classrooms. students are encouraged to bring costumes to school they can change into after lunch. Please bring school appropriate costumes (no masks, weapons-related items or apparel, etc.).
EARLY MORNING DROP-IN MEDITATION  

Elementary and junior high students arriving at Cove before 8:30 AM are invited to participate in Early Morning Drop-In Meditation. This optional alternative to before-school outdoor recess is an opportunity for younger students to start their school day with a short period of calm, focus and quiet self-reflection.  For more information, please contact Regina Aniolowski at raniolowski@coveschool.org
POST SECONDARY PLANNING EVENT
Monday, October 22 and Tuesday, October 23

The Transition Department invites you to an exciting opportunity to learn about post-secondary program options, part of the Transition Department's Parent Education Series . Representatives from several post-secondary programs will present information on their program and answer your questions. The presentations are recommended for parents of 8th to 12th graders but are open to all families. All are welcome to the Scholastic Book Fair, an annual reading event that brings the books kids want to read right to Cove School. COMMUNITY DAY AT CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent-teacher conferences will be going on from 8 AM to 8 PM on Monday and 8 AM to 4 PM on Tuesday.  High School students are expected to attend their conferences.  There will be no school for students these days, as well as the rest of the week.

CHOICES FAIR

Students and families are invited to attend CHOICES 2018, a night of post-secondary transition information for students with learning disabilities and special needs, at Deerfield High School. OPTIONS FAIR

Students and families are invited to attend the Options Fair, a regional post-secondary planning night for students with disabilities, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Wheaton Warrenville South High School. SPECIAL GIFTS THEATRE PROGRAMS 

Students are invited to participate in the Fall programs put on by Special Gifts Theatre, an education and therapeutic theatre organization with locations in Winnetka, Chicago, Palatine and Libertyville for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ranging in age from 10 years and older.
