HAPPY SEPTEMBER!

The season of pumpkin spice and coziness is almost here and we are so excited to share our upcoming holiday newsletters with you.

We hope you find them helpful in planning for the holidays and special events in our community.

Fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Eve.

We will have wonderful ideas and content for you each month to help you make the most of your Home for the Holidays experiences with Family, Friends, and Neighbors.

MARKET HIGHLIGHTS

Below, please find national real estate housing data and infographics from the National Association of Realtors. Since it is said that all real estate is local, we are following this up with a summary of the Louisiana market. We think you'll be most interested in what is happening here, but it helps to be aware of national market trends. Please keep in mind that data and statistics lag about one month behind. August's figures won't be available till September 21.

National Snapshot for the month of *July:

  • Pending sales are down 1.0% - month over month
  • Closed sales are down 5.9% - month over month

However:

  • Homes are still selling faster
  • Average days on the market is 14
  • All cash sales account for 24% of transactions

Challenges:

  • Low inventory
  • Rising interest rates

Bottom line is that we continue to engage in a Seller's Market. Inventory continues to be insufficient to meet needs, and though the pool of Buyers has contracted, demand remains high.
