THIS SUNDAY

Sunday, May 3, 2026

Join us this first Sunday in May for the fifth Sunday in the Easter season as we celebrate Holy Communion together. This Sunday's readings talk about Jesus being the way, the truth and the life, and how to navigate through external and internal suffering. Pastor Mary Jo will present a special message entitled There But For the Grace of God Go I, Beth Polen and the choir will offer a lovely Communion anthem and Julie Smith and the Sunday School team will continue to guide our children through this Easter season - as we can begin to see Pentecost on the horizon.

Our readings this Sunday are:

Acts 7: 55 - 60

John 14: 1 - 14

Everyone is always welcome to worship here at Crossroads, and when we take Communion, everyone is always welcome at the Lord's table. So please tell your friends, coworkers or neighbors who may be looking for a church home about us! We worship every week in our sanctuary at 10:00 am.

This is From the Archives, where we present something from our extensive collection of archival photos, records and all manner of materials dating back to when the church was First Methodist Episcopal, to First Methodist, to Church of the Savior, to St. Paul's to Crossroads.

This week's archives item highlights the good work of our long-serving Oatmeal Ministry.

From the ancient days of July 2002 (now 24 years ago!), this Repository article gives us all kinds of great insight into the people serving the breakfast - including our own Paul Toalston, still at his post today - and also some of the people who were regular breakfast-goers and visitors back then.

In 2002, the ministry was already about 12 years old, so now we can add another 24 to that for an astonishingly long-lived outreach to the people of downtown Canton - that is still going strong.
