May Procession
Dear Families,
While we can not have our traditional May Procession, we would still like to honor our Blessed Mother. If you are comfortable attending, please join us on Monday, May 3rd at 7 PM in the church. The church is set up for us to be socially distant so you can pick a pew and sit where it is marked in blue. This will allow families to be 6 feet apart.

Anyone who received their First Holy Communion or Confirmation in 2020 or 2021 is welcome to wear their First Holy Communion attire or Confirmation robe if they are able to attend.
With many Blessings!
Michele D'Alessandro, DRE

Saints Peter and Paul School is pleased to announce a new and improved website for the school. The new site has been updated for ease of use across all platforms, including phones and tablets. One of the best things about the website is that it will continue to evolve to better serve the needs of our families and those looking to find out more about our wonderful school!
Please check us out and bookmark us at www.school.sspeterandpaulrc.org
We welcome your comments, suggestions, and feedback!
Please Support the 2021 Spring Fun Raiser!
Our Spring Fundraiser is underway and we only have a couple more weeks to go! Tickets sales for all items will end on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.  Winners will be announced on the HSA Website on Friday, May 7th! (Winners will also be contacted via email./phone)

The students had their class basket viewing day on April 15th! Please check your child's folder for their wishlist that came home last week if you haven't already. They were able to view the baskets and check off the baskets they would like to purchase tickets for. The wishlist included the website and QR code to purchase tickets.

Want to see the baskets up close? Stop by and see us after mass from 8 AM - 12:30 PM, Sunday, April 24th. We will be selling tickets for class baskets, 50/50, and SSPP Fan Favorite items! We will be set up outside of the church and if it rains, we will be set up in the Church basement. We accept cash, check, and Venmo during Sunday sales.

Thank you for supporting the SSPP Students!!!!
Book Drive Results
SSPP collected 2,798 books for our book drive! Thank you students and parents for your support! These books will go to students in local schools who do not have access to books. Congratulations go out to Mr. MacLennan and the 8th Grade Student Council for organizing this event!
Gadaleto’s Seafood Market will be hosting a “Pay What You Want Donation Dinner”

Wednesday, April 28, 2021, from 3:30 to 7:00 PM

The first time was so successful, they are at it again!

We will provide a soup, appetizer, and entrée in your meal. In return, we ask that you bring in a check made payable to “St. Agnes Day Room” in the denomination of your choice to help support our local community in need.

The menu includes your choice of:
Soup: Lobster Bisque or Maryland Crab
Appetizer: Lobster Mac and Cheese or Boom Boom Shrimp
Entrée: Fried Shrimp Platter, or Salmon with a lemon cream sauce and spinach

Each meal will serve 4-5 people and the total cost of the meal is approximately $80.00. 100% of what you pay is going directly to the St. Agnes Dayroom. On the day of the event, please come at the designated order pick-up time with a check made out to the St. Agnes Day Room in an envelope.

The Day Room is an amazing resource for the less fortunate of the West Chester Area. They help to provide meals, clothing, diapers, and formula, and health and wellness support as well as many other services to anyone who comes in need of assistance.

When we did this dinner in support of the Dayroom in January we were floored by the generosity as we were able to raise almost $18,000. My staff and I hope you can participate and do your part to take the burden off all the people experiencing food and
financial insecurity in our local area. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Let’s lift up the community as ONE!

With Gratitude,
Andy Gadaleto

From the Nurse's Office
Crusader Times post 4/8/21
From the Nurse’s Office:
Happy Spring everyone! We know this year has brought so many challenges for so many and we are thankful for your continued diligence and compliance as we continue to navigate safely through this COVID pandemic. We so appreciate all the generosity of the lunches for the faculty and staff that we have been included in! Just a couple of housekeeping issues as we move in to the warmer weather: please make sure your child has a water bottle with them each day & a spare mask to replace those that get wet/sweaty.  For our younger students - please have a full change of season appropriate clothes in their cubby/classroom for the occasional accident.
Thanks for your cooperation to make sure our students were up to date with their Immunizations, Physicals and Dental Exam Reports! If you had some doctor’s appointments over the break or coming up soon, please send in those reports. Any examinations dated from August/September 2020 on will suffice for next year’s requirements. The State of Pennsylvania requires that all required immunizations must be documented within the first 5 days of the start of school. The West Chester Area School District requires that the required Physicals and Dentals from a licensed Health Care Provider are received within the first 60 days of the start of school. If the plan is not followed, the student will be excluded from school. Please note that The Archdiocese of Philadelphia does not permit religious or philosophical exemptions from vaccination. Below are the requirements:
Preschool students must receive all immunizations for which they are eligible (by age)
Kindergarten through 8th grade students must receive:
4 dtap (diphtheria/tetanus/pertussis) with the last dose given after the child’s 4th birthday
4 IPV (polio) with the last dose given after the child’s 4th birthday
3 Hepatitis B
2 Varicella (chicken pox)
2 MMR (measles/mumps/rubella)
**Students must be up to date with all immunizations by the 5th day from the start of the school year. AOP and Saints Peter and Paul do not permit students to be on a delayed immunization schedule unless medically necessary. In this case, a note from a licensed doctor must be provided to the school nurse prior to the 1st day of class.

7th grade students must receive the above plus the following:
Meningitis vaccine
Tdap booster

Physical Exams are required for Kindergarten and 6th graders, as well as any new students, regardless of the grade they are entering.
Dental Exams are required for Kindergarten, 3rd and 7th graders, as well as any new students, regardless of the grade they are entering.

Alumni News
In an effort to make it easier for our alumni to give back to SSPP, we have started a Venmo account for the Annual Fund @ssppwcannualfund

When you make your donation, please include the year you graduated and an email where we can send your receipt. Thank you for your support!

Each gift to the Annual Fund is an investment in an environment that inspires children to become innovative, creative, compassionate and Christ-centered leaders of tomorrow.

If you have alumni news to share, please reach out to Diana Poole at advancement@sspeterandpaulrc.org

We would love to hear from you!
Don't Forget to Order Math Summer Solutions!
