From the Principal's Desk
Dear Saints Peter and Paul Community,
A happy Easter to all! We have been blessed with beautiful weather this week after our return from Easter break. There are many exciting and wonderful things happening at SSPP School and I hope you enjoy hearing about them.
Mrs. Veronica Chandler, Principal
First Holy Communion, April 24th
Please pray for the second graders as they prepare for their special day receiving Jesus for the first time.
New School Uniform
September of 2021 marks our 20th year as a Catholic school. To begin our next twenty years of academic excellence as a community rooted in our faith, I have collaborated with parents, teachers, Monsignor Citino, and Flynn O’Hara to create a new uniform. As soon as we have samples of the uniform, I will post them on the new school website. Please visit Flynn O’Hara to see samples and to purchase your children’s uniform. This will be a two-year transition to the new uniform for SSPP students. If your child has not grown out of their uniform, a two-year period will give everyone time to transition. In September of 2023, the entire student body will be transitioned. Pre-school students will be wearing the gym uniform as their daily uniform.
On March 1st our 7th graders received the sacrament of Confirmation with Bishop Fitzgerald confirming them. Thank you to Monsignor Citino and Father Monica for guiding our students in their faith and for Ms. Krieman preparing them for their big day.
Monsignor Citino and Father Monica led the second graders in their First Reconciliation on March 22nd. It was a lovely service and we are grateful for the visiting priests who helped with the sacrament. Thank you to Mrs. D’Alessandro and Mrs. Lyons for planning and organizing both sacraments. They were beautiful days for the second and seventh graders.

Welcome, Mr. Lundy
Welcome to Mr. Lundy, our new music teacher, for a wonderful first week at SSPP. The students had a fun time with Mr. Lundy visiting their classes and learning elements of music at the same time!
New HSA Committee Gearing Up
On June 1st the new HSA Committee will have their first meeting. A warm welcome to Mrs. Kelly Smith, Mrs. Courtney Zentz, Mrs. Erin Oschell, and Mr. Stephen DiOrio. They have been working behind the scenes and having meetings to prepare for a great year next year. Please come out to support them on June 1st at 7 PM. Please lookout for an email with the HSA meeting zoom link the week before the meeting.
The Middle States Mid Term Report Approved
Congratulations to our teachers and staff! We have been focused and dedicated to our Middle States objectives every year since 2017. Every seven years our school seeks reaccreditation from the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools. It is a rigorous self-evaluation in which we carefully evaluate every aspect of the school community and create objectives that will lead our school to a higher level of excellence. The Mid Term Report was submitted to the Middle States Commission before Easter break. We have successfully met all criteria and objectives for the last four years. This was a huge goal for the school in addition to facing the new challenges of teaching in a pandemic.
