April 2023

Celebrate Diversity Month takes place in April every year. It was initiated in 2004 to recognize and honor the diversity of the world around us.

It is a time to recognize and understand our differences, be it gender, race, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, and other factors, while honoring the common essence of humanity.

By appreciating our similarities and differences, the month aims to get people to foster a deeper understanding of others, regardless of who they are, what they are, or how they live.

It’s also an opportunity to increase diversity in the workplace and various academic fields.

Accelerating DEI: Linking Business and Social Impact

May 5 -7, 2021, 9:00 am – 12:30 pm

Presented by MassTLC and Faculty Members of Harvard Business School.

Companies and organizations need to take action to move issues of racial and social justice from a “nice to have” statement of support to a “must do” core of their strategy. For these programs to succeed leaders should design, launch, and evaluate them as they would a new strategic opportunity.

This case-study focused workshop, featuring Harvard Business School faculty members and industry executives, will provide you with the analytics and tools needed to identify and evaluate DEI strategic opportunities and to develop an action plan that enables you to make the systemic change versus incremental change needed to drive business value and impact, including impact to your bottom-line performance.

This workshop is for those interested in launching new DEI strategic initiatives or are already leading DEI projects.

Board Ready Bootcamp

Mass TLC presents a Board Ready Bootcamp focused on preparing women, people of color, LBTQIA+, and other underrepresented tech leaders for boardroom roles.

As featured in the Boston Globe, the award-winning Board-Ready Bootcamp is designed to improve the quality of board governance and composition at tech companies by providing a high-impact curriculum on board fundamentals, strategy and governance.

Given the lack of diversity in the tech boardroom, the bootcamp is focused on preparing underrepresented tech leaders, including Black, Latinx, Indigenous, LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, and women tech executives. Participants must be current tech executives who’ve been nominated to attend and have the support of their CEO or board of directors.
