Town Council Meeting on December 11

The Town will hold a Council meeting on December 11, 2023, at 3 p.m. via Zoom. Town Council meetings are being conducted using a hybrid model where members of Council can participate in person at Town Hall or electronically via Zoom.


At this time, members of the public are encouraged to continue to view the meeting by watching the live stream through the Town’s Municipal Calendar web page.


Should you wish to delegate to a Council meeting, please complete the online delegation form no later than one business day before the meeting is to be held.


If you would like to submit feedback, please email your comments to [email protected] Comments submitted will be circulated to Council Members in advance of the meeting and will be part of the public record.

2023-2026 Strategic Plan

The 2023-2026 Strategic Plan will go to Council for approval on December 11. The plan details Council’s vision, mission, values and 4 strategic priorities to guide the work of staff for the current term. Deloitte, the Town’s consultant on the project, will present an overview. Watch the Council meeting at haltonhills.ca.

2024 Budget

Town Councill will consider the 2024 Budget at its meeting on December 11. Information is available on the (now closed) consultation page available here.

50th anniversary community celebration & lecture

on January 10, 2024

Join Mayor Lawlor and members of Council at a community celebration and lecture to mark the 50th anniversary of the Town of Halton Hills. Light refreshments and photo opportunity props will mark the 6 p.m. gathering at the Cultural Centre held prior to a lecture by local historian Mark Rowe in the John Elliot Theatre. An Archivist with the Esquesing Historical Society, Mark will share a brief history of this land and its European settlement that will culminate in an overview of the constituent parts of Halton Hills during its first 50 years. 

 

The celebration and lecture* are free. Get tickets through the John Elliott Theatre Box Office.

Legacy Grant Application Deadline December 10

Community organizations have just a few days left to submit a grant application for a project marking the town’s 50th anniversary. A maximum of $2,500 is available for projects that:

·       Relate to the 50th anniversary theme of “Recognizing the Communities of Halton Hills”.

·       Make a meaningful impact that will endure for years to come.

·       Meet a specific objective and will be completed in 2024.

Help our Snowplow Drivers!

Please help our snowplow drivers to navigate roads and clear snow by adhering to the parking restrictions.

The parking ban is on now through to April 15 and means that on-street parking is prohibited between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. The ban is in effect on all Town streets, unless posted as a '12 Hour' limit zone. This regulation is proactively enforced during the winter months.

Home Efficiency Rebates

The Town is encouraging its residents to take advantage of Home Efficiency Rebates towards eligible retrofits such as home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps and renewable energy systems.


This program aimes to help more Ontario homeowners save on energy costs for their homes.
