Community Call to Action: Let's Clear Debris from Catch Basins

As the weather warms up and snow begins to melt, it's crucial to keep our catch basins free of debris. Catch basins play a vital role in preventing flooding by directing water away from streets and properties. When they become clogged with leaves, trash, and other debris, water can't flow properly, leading to potential flooding and water damage. By taking a few minutes to clear debris from catch basins around your property, you help ensure that water can drain efficiently, protecting your home and community from flooding. Let's work together to keep our neighborhoods safe and dry!

Short-Term Rental Accommodation

Short-term rentals, such as renting out a room or an entire house for 2 to 30 days, offer great benefits like extra income for operators, local accommodation options, and a boost to tourism.

The Town of Halton Hills is considering updating our Comprehensive Zoning By-law 2010-0050 to include short-term rentals, as it currently only covers bed and breakfast establishments. This update aims to ensure short-term rentals are well-regulated and do not become a nuisance to our community. Visit the project page.

We want to hear from YOU! A survey has been created to gather your opinions, concerns, and suggestions about short-term rentals. Your feedback will be shared with the Town Council to help shape the future of our community.
