| | Town Council Meeting on June 1 | | |
The Town will hold a Council meeting on June 1, 2026, at 3 p.m. via Zoom. Town Council meetings are being conducted using a hybrid model where members of Council can participate in person at Town Hall or electronically via Zoom.
At this time, members of the public are encouraged to view the meeting by watching the live stream through the Town’s Municipal Calendar web page.
Should you wish to delegate to a Council meeting, please complete the online delegation form no later than one business day before the meeting is to be held.
If you would like to submit feedback, please email your comments to clerks@haltonhills.ca Comments submitted will be circulated to Council Members in advance of the meeting and will be part of the public record.

Halton Hills Celebrates the Unstoppable Impact of Volunteers
On Wednesday, May 13, the Town of Halton Hills came together to celebrate the extraordinary contributions of its volunteers at the Halton Hills Cultural Centre & John Elliott Theatre. The evening was filled with inspiration, recognition, and heartfelt celebration, honoring those who bring joy, positivity, and connectedness to the community.

Following a rigorous recruitment process, Bronwyn Parker has been selected as the new Commissioner of Planning. An employee since 2017 with over 21 years of progressive municipal experience, Parker brings deep local knowledge to the role.

Notice of Statutory Public Meeting: Georgetown GO
Station Area
A Statutory Public Meeting will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 6 p.m., to consider proposed Official Plan Amendments for the Georgetown GO Protected Major Transit Station Area (PMTSA) and the draft Georgetown GO Station Area/Mill Street Corridor Secondary Plan. The meeting will take place in Council Chambers at Town Hall and will also be available to attend virtually. This meeting will provide an opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposed planning framework and share comments with Council.

Official Plan Review Pop-Up Events Coming this Summer
This summer, we’re bringing the Official Plan Review right to your neighbourhood! Residents are invited to connect with Town staff at a series of community pop-up events this May and June as part of the Official Plan Review.
These informal drop-ins are a chance to learn about the proposed policy directions, ask questions, and share your feedback. Each session will focus on one of six key themes to support more meaningful conversations. A final pop-up will bring all themes together, offering a complete look at the future vision for Halton Hills. Getting involved is easy, just stop by on a date that works for you. Find dates and review the Policy Directions Report and Briefs on the project page.

ActiVan
Service Changes
EZ Taxi will be closing on June 30, which will create need for expanded specialized transit service. In response, ActiVan is increasing its service hours to provide more availability for riders.
The new hours will be Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Green Infrastructure Asset Management Plan Open House
The Town of Halton Hills is developing a Green Infrastructure Asset Management Plan (GIAMP) to help protect, maintain and enhance green assets such as trees and natural areas for the long term. Join us at the open house on June 15 from 6 - 8 p.m. to learn about the plan and provide feedback on how the Town manages green assets.
At the open house, Town staff and consultants will describe the Town’s green assets, the services they provide, and outline management strategies the Town is considering to help sustain and enhance these assets in a context of growth and climate change.

Don’t miss your last chance to register for this engaging two-day conference taking place June 3 and 4 at the Library and Cultural Centre. The Annual Halton Equity and Diversity Roundtable (HEDR) conference is coming to Halton Hills for the first time in its 11-year history.
Engage with community leaders, practitioners, researchers, artists and changemakers to explore the 11th Annual HEDR Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility conference. This year’s theme is, Small Town, Big Ideas: Intersectional Paths to Equity in Urban and Rural Communities.

Notice of Section 26 Special Council Meeting for Official Plan Review
Council will be holding a Special Meeting on Monday, June 22 to consider matters related to the Town’s Official Plan Review, as required under Section 26 of the Planning Act.
The meeting will focus on reviewing background studies, discussing growth and land‑use considerations, and providing direction for the next phase of the Official Plan update.
No statutory decisions are expected at this meeting. Residents can learn more about the meeting and register to speak at Council by visiting the Official Plan Review project page on Let’s Talk Halton Hills.
