Town Council Meeting on October 27

The Town will hold a Council meeting on October 27, 2025, at 3 p.m. via Zoom. Town Council meetings are being conducted using a hybrid model where members of Council can participate in person at Town Hall or electronically via Zoom.


At this time, members of the public are encouraged to view the meeting by watching the live stream through the Town’s Municipal Calendar web page.


Should you wish to delegate to a Council meeting, please complete the online delegation form no later than one business day before the meeting is to be held.


If you would like to submit feedback, please email your comments to clerks@haltonhills.ca. Comments submitted will be circulated to Council Members in advance of the meeting and will be part of the public record.

Town Hall Budget Meeting 6 - 8 p.m.

Mayor Lawlor will be giving a presentation on the 2026 Budget, which will be tabled on November 3 on letstalkhaltonhills.ca


Members of the public are invited to share their thoughts on the 2026 Budget by delegating in person or online.


Registration for delegating is not required for this meeting.

In a unanimous vote this week, Halton Hills Town Council took a decisive stand against the Ontario government’s recent announcement to cancel ASE– Automated Speed Enforcement (speed cameras) across the province. Councillors voiced strong opposition to changes that would undermine ASE initiatives, which are an effective local road safety tool.

Intention to Designate 12389 Fifth Line (Limehouse)


Limehouse Memorial Hall has been identified as an example of a c.1870s Gothic Revival church within the community of Limehouse in the Town of Halton Hills. The property is associated with the Methodist Church, the European settlement of Limehouse, prominent pioneering figures, the local lime industry, and the broader Halton Hills community. The property is important in defining and maintaining the late-nineteenth-century character of Limehouse and serves as a landmark at the corner of Fifth Line and 22 Side Road.

Town of Halton Hills Reminds Residents of Annual Winter Parking Ban


The Town of Halton Hills is reminding residents that its annual winter parking ban will be in effect from November 15 to April 15. During this period, on-street parking is prohibited between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. on all streets under town jurisdiction. The restriction is designed to ensure that snow-clearing operations can be carried out safely and effectively throughout the winter months.

New Multi-Purpose Facility Opens at Trafalgar Sports Park


Mayor Ann Lawlor, members of Town Council, and representatives from Georgetown Slopitch officially opened a new multi-purpose building at Trafalgar Sports Park. The building’s design was developed in collaboration with user groups through a public consultation process and made possible in part by a $60,000 donation from the Georgetown Slopitch League.

Community Improvement Plan Boosts Georgetown Storefront


The Town of Halton Hills is proud to announce the successful completion of a façade improvement project in downtown Georgetown, supported through the Community Improvement Plan (CIP). On October 15, Councillors Norris, and Garneau, together with the Town’s Economic Development staff, presented Accountants on Main with a grant cheque for $12,045.74 to support the revitalization of their property.

Community Tree Planting Event - Growing Canada's Community Canopies


Help plant 150 trees at the Georgetown Fire Hall located at 53 Maple Ave. on November 1st from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at our last community tree planting event of 2025! The Town and Trees for Halton Hills have partnered to plant 1900 trees across Halton Hills as part of our Revitalizing the Urban Canopy project: https://letstalkhaltonhills.ca/tree-planting-initiative, with funding from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities' Growing Canada's Community Canopies Grant. This community tree planting event will help move us closer to our goal.

Colour and Form Society's 73rd Open Juried Exhibition


Held annually each fall, the Colour and Form Society’s Open-Juried Exhibition showcases exceptional artwork from both members and non-members. Featuring a wide range of styles and cultural influences, the exhibition celebrates artistic diversity and innovation. To promote excellence in original fine art, awards will be presented during the opening reception on Sunday, October 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Helson Gallery. The exhibition will be on view from October 22 – November 30 at the Helson Gallery and Upper Sisnett Lobby of the Cultural Centre.

The people of Halton Hills have spoken! After more than 4,000 votes through two rounds of community voting, the Northern Cardinal has been chosen as the official Town Bird of Halton Hills.
