The month of October feels warm and inviting despite the falling temperatures. It’s a month filled with things MEMBER-focused…even more than our usual line-up. I think it’s important to note a few of the things that benefit YOU – the Member now, and possibly every month at the NACC.

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce and Presenting Sponsor BMO Harris Bank, look forward to A TOAST to Our Members on October 13th from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Wentz Concert Hall on the North Central College Campus. This event is something we look forward to every year, as it lets us truly celebrate the lifeblood of our organization in a special way – YOU, the Members.

EARLY VOTING & YOUR BALLOT
Early voting for the November midterm elections started on September 29th this year. And, if you haven’t had the chance to review what and who will be on your ballot, you aren’t alone. Most people just aren’t focused on the fact there is an election coming up. It’s important to take the time to review who and what will be on your ballot before you cast your vote. There is one item that will appear on the ballot that we’d like to make sure is on your radar. 

Billed as the Worker’s Rights Amendment, voters will be asked if they wish to establish a constitutional right for employees to organize and bargain collectively and to negotiate pay, hours, and working conditions among other criteria.

The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce added the “A” in ‘NACC’ because the Chamber extends into the greater community within Naperville city limits and the surrounding areas. Did you know; about a third of NACC Members have business zip codes outside of Naperville? The result of farther-reaching Membership is a more community-impactful Chamber, which can serve as a resource and advocate for its Members.

The community impact that Members have through the Chamber is significant. Starting October 6, 2022, Leadership Naperville! will meet onsite at various locations across the area for a 6-week professional development series...

She has a passion for community involvement and feeds that passion through being an active member of the NACC’s Young Professionals Network, Rotary After Dark, Naperville Junior Woman’s Club, KidsMatter, & The General Federation of Women’s Clubs.
