The Presbyterian Church (USA) has announced a major shift and realignment of World Mission, with reductions of current mission co-workers from 79 to 45.
Cindy Corell is the mission co-worker related to the Presbytery of the James. In 2012, the presbytery worked with Presbyterian World Mission to create her position in Haiti and promised to fully support her initial term. The support of the Presbytery and its churches has continued, bringing us closer to God's work in this part of the world.
Cindy's position in the Dominican Republic and Haiti has concluded, and the Interim Unified Agency has offered her a stateside position. She is in a time of discernment. She covets your prayers.

Did you know that more than 300 million palm fronds are harvested each year for U.S. consumption alone? By using eco-palms this Palm Sunday, your congregation can play an important role in protecting forests, local jobs, and sustainable livelihoods in the harvesting communities.
PC(USA) congregations joined thousands of Ecumenical houses of worship in ordering Eco-Palms for use in so many creative ways on Palm Sunday over the last few years. Working together, we do make a difference!
Supply chain issues are impacting all areas of our lives but the orders of these palms mean livelihood for harvesters, now, more than ever.
Learn more about eco-palms or place your order by clicking below.

World Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement celebrated in over 170 countries, led by Christian women who invite all to join in prayer and action for peace and justice. Observed annually on the first Friday of March, this year’s event falls on March 7, 2025.
The theme, “I Made You Wonderful,” drawn from Psalm 139:14, was chosen by ecumenical Christian women of the Cook Islands, who also prepared the worship materials. The above artwork, "Wonderfully Made", was created by Tarani Napa and Tevairangi Napa, a mother-daughter artist team from the Cook Islands. On this day, let us reflect on being “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14) by a loving Creator.

The James Atwood Institute for Congregational Courage is an ecumenical project of the Presbyterian Peace Fellowship to equip clergy and lay leaders for gun violence prevention education and action with their congregations.
Inspired by the late James Atwood, a Presbyterian pastor, avid hunter, and lifelong advocate for reasonable gun regulation, the Institute brings together faith-based activists, and regional and national experts to provide hands-on training, skills, and game-changing strategies.
We invite clergy, lay leaders, and community members from all denominations to join in this vital work. Attendees will leave with the skills and courage to create meaningful change in their communities and our nation, in the context of today's political environment. Scholarships are available.
This year’s keynote will be Reverend Sharon Risher.
