| | Reminder: Reading Clipped Emails | Sometimes email services like Gmail, Outlook, or Yahoo clip long emails to save space in your inbox view. When this happens, you may see a message like “[Message clipped] View entire message” at the bottom. To ensure you’re seeing the full content—especially important details at the end—be sure to click that link. Subscribers may also use the “Click to view as webpage” option which is always located at the top of The Current; this opens the entire message in your browser for easier reading. | | Time-Sensitive Opportunities | | Applications Close July 1! The Playground at Flagler College is a year-long program for ministry leaders—combining virtual learning, in-person gatherings, and immersive pilgrimages—to reconnect participants with ancient Christian practices like Sabbath, Holy Play, and the Rule of Life. Cohorts are led by expert theologians (including Dr. Nate Stucky, Dr. Lakisha Lockhart, and Dr. Timothy Johnson), beginning with a kickoff in St. Augustine, FL, followed by online sessions, pilgrimages to sacred sites, and concluding with participants teaching what they've learned in their congregations. Thanks to grant support, the $1,000 fee (usually valued at over $12,000) covers all coursework, travel, and stipends. The program empowers leaders to renew their spiritual well-being and bring transformational practices back to their communities. | | | |
