LTSSMaryland Transition Readiness!
DDA Providers, even if you haven’t confirmed a date for your agency to transition into LTSSMaryland - DDA Module for billing, it’s never too early to start preparing! Talk to your regional director today.
As part of that preparation, providers should review their most current W-9 form and ensure the address noted matches the pay-to address for each of your MA numbers, exactly.
Please also ensure everything is spelled correctly, any abbreviations match, and the last 4 digits of the zip code are accurate, e.g., 21014-1234. We will be adding the W-9 requirement to the readiness resources on our website soon and will release the updates via the newsletter. If you have any questions, please contact Leslie Thompson, Statewide Director of Provider Services, at leslie.thompson@maryland.gov.

Basic Assurances®(BA) Provider Training
The Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) is an international leader in establishing standards for quality. The DDA aims to achieve Network Accreditation with the CQL and will use information from provider Basic Assurances® Reviews to inform the current state of Maryland’s system and offer areas for improvement. Liberty Healthcare will begin conducting Basic Assurances®(BA) Reviews beginning in July 2023.
Basic Assurances® Reviews use an appreciative inquiry approach, reviewing agency policies and procedures and identifying how well those align with organizational practices. To do this, Basic Assurances® Reviewers speak 1:1 and in focus groups with employees and people you support. As a result, we’ll share what is present in your organization and opportunities based on that point in time.
We want providers and CCS agencies to know what to expect during a Basic Assurances® (BA) Review and are providing training throughout May 2023. This training will provide an overview of how to prepare and what to expect when participating in the Basic Assurances® Review. Please be sure that representatives from your organization attend one of the available training sessions, which will be held via Zoom.
- Please register in advance for these meetings:
- After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
