Eliot Connects:

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

Founded on the belief that the welfare of each of us is bound to the well-being of ALL in their community, Eliot Connects, a 501c3 mutual aid non-profit is a group of community-minded members that support the well-being of Eliot and all its citizens with the goal to support all citizens of Eliot by bringing together and creating opportunities for neighbors to help their fellow neighbors, organizations, and initiatives to serve as a connector in their flourishing community and to get out information on a variety of services, assistance programs, and events.


The programs they have implemented and support include:

  1. CARE Kits: CARE products & kits are collected & distributed throughout our community. Accepting Donations: Winter: Dec 1-12. Spring: April 1-10
  2. Gleaning Program: Gathering extra produce from local farmers & gardeners, coordinating and distributing fresh and cooked items to our local organizations & residents. Late spring through to fall
  3. Safe Summer Kickoff: A community gathering with our local PD around summer fun and safety. Stuff a Cruiser with Summer CARE items for local organizations. Second Saturday in June
  4. Back to School Supply Drive: Gathering and distributing school supplies for our Marshwood students & schools. End of August before the start of school
  5. October in the Pumpkin Patch: at Back Fields Farm. Second Sunday in October
  6. Give Warmth Event: Warm Hands & Warm Hearts. A fun winter community event at the Eliot skate rink. Gather hats, gloves, & fuel aid for local organizations. Saturday at the end of January (based on the weather)
  7. Intergenerational Programs: Fostering interaction and connection between young & old in our community. Year-round volunteer opportunities
  8. Footprints Food Project: A neighborhood community-building food collection program with Footprints Pantry. Year-round volunteer opportunities


Volunteers and community partners with new ideas to help create community connections in Eliot are always needed and welcome in many capacities including:

  4. Volunteer Liaison
  5. Fundraising & Finance
  6. Resource Organizing & Coordination

We wanted to congratulate the entire cast and crew of the Marshwood School District's Fall District Musical: Shrek The Musical! All the cast and crew worked tirelessly and they delivered outstanding performances at all the shows. We are proud to support the Marshwood School District's Theatre productions.
