From the HeART
Very exciting things happened this month in our Day Services & Art Programs!
A huge thank you to Emily Colwell Lead Art Specialist in the Art Studio Program and Alumni from SUNY Old Westbury who connected ACLD with the school's Social and Environmental Justice Institute's Art Lab and help to coordinate ACLD's first Art Gallery Show in over three years!

“The ACLD Art Studio is thrilled that SUNY Old Westbury was able to provide us a space for the art exhibit - our artists are excited for the support and visibility," said Colwell, pictured here at the Art Lab with Fred Fleisher, Assistant Professor from the Visual Arts Department at SUNY Old Westbury.

A reception was held on November 28 for the gallery show, with many of the artists in attendance.
The display includes various art forms including clay masks, jewelry, pottery, and 3D paper artwork. This exhibit is running until December 15 and is open to the public Monday and Tuesdays from 11-3pm and Thursday from 2-5pm or by appointment. For more informaiton, please contact Diane Salomé-Diaz
