Lauren Bonatakis joined the group at the end of November
Lauren grew up on the Connecticut River and has always had a love of the water. She graduated with her Masters at Louisiana State University and recently completed a fellowship in marine policy at NOAA. As the new Natural Resource Specialist, Lauren will be based out of the Boston office and working closely with the Wood-Pawcatuck and Taunton Rivers. Lauren enjoys ice skating and taking her two dogs, Bessie and Berlin, out on the trails. Welcome to the PWSR family, Lauren!

October 2020 marked the anniversary month for three Partnership Wild and Scenic Rivers: Great Egg Harbor, White Clay Creek, and Wekiva Rivers.

November 2020 marked the anniversary month for three Partnership Wild and Scenic Rivers: Lamprey, Lower Delaware and Westfield Rivers.

The NPS Wild and Scenic Rivers Program will soon send out the third edition of their annual newsletter, River Currents. This edition will have a PWSR focus. Look for a continued celebration of PWSRs in the new year with March designation anniversaries: the Taunton River will celebrate its 12th anniversary and our newest additions - the Lower Farmington and Salmon Brook, Nashua (Nashua, Squannacook, and Nissitissit Rivers), and Wood-Pawcatuck Rivers will celebrate their 2nd anniversaries.
