Merry Christmas
Administrator's Christmas Craft Challenge
Did you know that Concord Township Administrator Andy Rose is a woodworker? Andy is challenging kids of all ages to build their tree using Popsicle sticks. Send a picture of your creation to arose@concordtwp.com with the subject line “Popsicle Stick Tree” today!
Thank You Concord Township!
Thank you, thank you for your support of the new stations

We look forward with excitement to the groundbreaking of the new fire stations. Along with you, we hope we never have to live through another pandemic. If we do, firefighters in the new stations will be better equipped to social distance, decontamination areas will be isolated and clean vs dirty areas easily contained. The firefighters, our families and all our loved ones are grateful for the investment the community has made into the future of the department.

We, along with many of our EMS partners and hospitals are seeing an increase in calls for service.

We do stress that a call to 911 is absolutely appropriate if you’re just not sure what to do. We want to make sure you continue to receive the care that you may need.

We typically transport to Tri-Point, Lake West, UH Geauga, and Hillcrest depending on the nature of the call and our patient’s wishes. We want everyone to be aware that this is not always possible and we are sometimes diverted to other hospitals.
When to call 911
December has arrived and the Service Department is ready for the winter weather to begin. Our Service Department has readied all the snowplows and our salt supply. The salt supply is estimated to be 1,400 tons on site.

When traveling on ice and snow covered roadways, remember to give the plow truck room to do their job. The Service Department continues to perform maintenance and repairs to roadways as the weather permits. We are also continuing with ditch maintenance and culvert replacements.

The Service Department is still accepting snow barricade requests and have been out installing barricades as the requests are received. Residents may order their snow barricade by filling out the Snow Barricade Application found on the Concord Township website. The cost for the barricade is $40 and the Service Department provides the labor to install them.

As we approach the winter season, we remind residents and motorists to plan for longer travel time when the weather conditions worsen and to slow down and move over when approaching crews working along the roadways. The Service Department reminds residents with any questions or concerns to call us at 440-350-3225 or email us at at the links on our page at https://concordtwp.com/departments/service/.
Wreaths Across America (WAA)

The cemetery will continue the mission to Remember, Honor and Teach. This year’s wreath laying ceremony will be done by Township staff due to COVID-19. Look for a video on the Township website, https://concordtwp.com/departments/cemetery/ or on our YouTube channel.

Thank you for the support and generosity of our sponsors. For each wreath sponsored, a wreath will be placed on a headstone of a veteran, continuing their story for the next generation.

If you have any questions, please contact Karen Warner at (440) 354-7518.
Concord Township Cemetery staff wishes everyone a Happy and Safe Holiday Season.
The Zoning Department office may be closed for walk-ins currently, however, staff is still available to assist residents and contractors with their zoning questions and permits. Zoning permit applications may be mailed to Town Hall, or dropped off at the drop box located at Town Hall. Please call or email our staff with any questions you may have about the requirements and the process. Contact information may be found here along with several information sheets regarding typical residential projects. For information on the upcoming December Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals meetings, please visit the Township website public meetings page.

From all of us at the Zoning Department, we wish you and your family health and happiness this holiday season!
In the interest of public health and Concord's dedication to the well-being of our residents, the Concord Community Center will be closed to the public in December. Although December classes, rentals and in-person programs are cancelled or suspended, we are still coordinating festive and celebratory programs for our residents this holiday season.  Thank you for your patience, understanding and cooperation as we navigate these unprecedented times together.
