The Defender Dispatch - Alumni Newsletter - Fall 2024

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT

Rebekah Mathews Correll ('12) and Curtis Correll ('11) got married in March of 2017. In 2019, they began traveling full time - working remotely and living in Latin American and Europe. They permanently moved back to Charlotte, NC, this year. Rebekah is the founder and lead designer at Transparent Interiors, an online interior design company. Curtis is the founder and growth strategist at Upright Growth Company, a digital marketing agency.

Shelby Hall ('11) and his wife Lindsey welcomed their son, George Richardson Hall, born on August 26!

Lilly Whitehead ('21) and Peter Hale, former WA student, were engaged on September 15th!

It was an amazing show of community support for Hannah Warren ('18) and the Muscular Dystrophy Association Muscle Walk fundraiser this fall! Thanks to the generous donations of piggy bank change, cookies, cakes, and sweets, WA raised $3011.15 for the Hannah's Hope team!

Hannah did a great job of speaking to WA students to bring awareness regarding the needs of the MD community.

Kevin Wukasch ('15) met up with Laura Johnson Bennie ('15) in Denver and went climbing! Laura and her husband Ian are in Colorado for his residency at University of Colorado Hospital.

This summer, a few of our graduates took a vacation to Seagrove, FL.
