July 2025

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and District 2 Commissioner Christine Moore celebrate the reopening of the West Orange Trail Bridge in Apopka.

Greetings!

Summer is here, bringing warm weather and longer days. July also marks National Park and Recreation Month — the perfect time to explore the more than 100 parks throughout Orange County. Our Parks & Recreation Division offers our residents a wide range of amenities, including splash pads, pickleball courts, skate parks, bike trails, playgrounds, and more.

We are also officially in hurricane season, and now is the best time to make sure your family is prepared. I encourage you to review the emergency tips and valuable resources included in this month’s newsletter and visit Orange County’s storm page for more information.
