Can you believe 2024 is nearly over? As our community continues to recover from the effects of Hurricane Milton, I hope you take this opportunity during the holiday season to gather with loved ones and appreciate all of the blessings we have been given. This month also is filled with exciting events in our community, and I encourage you to enjoy some of the festivities highlighted in this newsletter.


Join me in honoring our military veterans at this year’s Orange County Veterans Day Ceremony, which will take place outside the Orange County Administration building in downtown Orlando. Please take a moment to thank a veteran in your life for his or her service.

Mayor's Holiday Toy Drive

Get in the holiday spirit and support a great cause! The Orange County Mayor’s Holiday Toy Drive has begun, and we need your help to bring joy to families in need. Donate new, unwrapped toys or gifts for kids aged 18 and under at participating locations across Orange County. You can also contribute online by purchasing items through Orange County’s virtual toy shop. Donations are distributed to Orange County youth and family agencies.

Thanksgiving Collection Schedule

There will be no curbside collection service in unincorporated Orange County on Thanksgiving, November 28. During that week, Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday, and Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday. Visit www.ocfl.net/HolidayCurbsideCollection for more information.

One-Day-a-Week Watering

Saving water starts with you! When you change your clocks, be sure to change your irrigation timer too! One-day-a-week watering goes into effect with the end of Daylight Saving Time on Sunday, November 3. Check www.ocfl.net/WateringRestrictions to see your designated watering day.
