October has arrived!
With autumn officially here, now is the ideal time to step outside and enjoy one of the many festivals, celebrations and activities taking place in our region. From outdoor art festivals to the popular cardboard canoe regatta hosted by our Parks and Recreation Division, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
The Orange County Community Conference returns this month and represents a great opportunity to get involved in your neighborhood. This in-person event will be held at the Orange County Multicultural Center on Saturday, October 12, at 8 a.m. Attendees will enjoy informative sessions, workshops and engaging speakers throughout the day.

There is still time to register for our 2024 Community Conference! This annual event provides Orange County residents an opportunity to learn about innovative ways to improve neighborhoods. Workshops offer a well-rounded blend of topics for individual citizens, voluntary neighborhood organizations, homeowners associations and other community groups.

Household Hazardous and E-Waste Collection | |
Mark your calendar! Dispose of household hazardous waste and old electronics responsibly and free of charge during the Orange County Utilities community collection event on Saturday, October 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Apopka High School. Staff will be present to help unload materials, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. Please note commercial waste cannot be accepted, and there is a paint and chemical limit of 25 gallons per vehicle.
