From the Mayor

Greetings,

What an exciting start to the year it has been! From the recent celebration of arts, culture and creativity at the Immerse Festival in downtown Orlando to the grand opening of our newest recreation space at Horizon West Regional Park, there is always something exciting happening in our community.

As we transition into warmer weather, now is the perfect time to enjoy more outdoor activities in Orange County. Our annual Mayor’s Jazz in the Park returns to Cypress Grove Park, and for gardening enthusiasts, the UF/IFAS Garden Festival and Plant Sale offers a chance to explore all things gardening.

This month, we also recognize the female trailblazers and business leaders who have made a difference around the globe and here in Orange County during Women’s History Month. Our fourth annual Women’s History Month Forum will highlight the powerful ways women are breaking barriers and shaping industries, while also addressing the importance of mental and physical well-being.

Finally, whether your family is observing Lent, Ramadan or a personal tradition of your own this month, I wish you peace, happiness and continued blessings.

Sincerely,

Jerry L. Demings

Orange County Mayor
