From the Mayor

Greetings,

It has already been a busy start to 2026. Here at the Orange County Administration Building, we recently unveiled new public artwork through the Sculpture on the Lawn exhibit which exemplifies creativity and culture within our community. We also officially opened the Business Resource Office, a centralized hub that connects entrepreneurs and business owners with valuable resources, programs and training opportunities.

In the weeks ahead, there will be even more opportunities to get involved in the many initiatives, events and celebrations taking place throughout Orange County.

Through an innovative partnership with Habitat for Humanity, our Financial Empowerment Centers continue to provide free one-on-one financial counseling to anyone living or working in Orange County. The program recently expanded its services to include estate planning which is a valuable resource you can learn more about in this newsletter.

Our Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Initiative remains dedicated to honoring Dr. King’s enduring legacy by promoting inclusiveness, equity and understanding through year-round community outreach. Visit the event calendar to learn more about the special programs planned during Black History Month.

February is also the month of Valentine’s Day, representing a global celebration of love and friendship. On behalf of Orange County Government, thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Sincerely,

Jerry L. Demings
