Can Ewe Believe It?

It's another girl! The month of May is off to a great start as a second baby bighorn was welcomed to the Museum on Monday, May 1. The female lamb (ewe) is healthy and weighs 11 pounds. Her older sister is more than a month old, making for a happy herd of five. After six months, the lambs will be transferred to another institution as a part of the Species Survival Plan, which ensures the existence of threatened or endangered species. Watch Her Wobble!

Adopt a Prairie Dog for Mom!

We have more than ten prairie dog pups prancing around on exhibit - all thanks to the dedicated care of their mothers. This Mother's Day, show your love in a unique and creative way by adopting a black-tailed prairie dog in honor of a special mom in your life. This symbolic adoption is a fun and meaningful way to show you care. You can also adopt a hummingbird or a Mexican gray wolf. Purchase before May 9 to ensure Mother's Day delivery. Mix it up for Mother's Day!
