Love Beer and Conservation?

Help us celebrate the release of Beat Bock Buffelgrass, a bock beer made by local brewery, Borderlands. Our partnership aims to raise awareness about the invasive species, buffelgrass. Join us tonight and tomorrow at Borderlands and enjoy lively presentations, terrific tunes, and delicious drinks! The best part? When you order the limited release brew, a percentage of proceeds will go towards our important conservation efforts.  Sip For Saguaros!

Rock Readings

Do you already have a mineral collection going? Each specimen has a story to tell! Bring in your favorite mineral and have it "read" by our Curator. You will learn what it's called, how it was formed, and why it is special. We'll help you build a story around your treasure! The rock readings will happen on Sunday, January 14, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. You can continue adding to your collection at our annual Mineral Madness event this weekend (January 13 & 14).  Rock On Out!

Beat Back Buffelgrass

Have you hiked Pima Canyon lately? This beautiful area is a loved hiking spot. Sadly, buffelgrass is covering much of the area. This invasive grass threatens our treasured saguaros, desert tortoises, and other desert flora and fauna.  Help us beat buffelgrass this Saturday! Enjoy a beautiful day whi le helping our conservation efforts. Afterwards, enjoy a specialty buffelgrass beer by  Borderlands Brewing Company.  You can RSVP to Julia Hike And Help!

All you have to do to enter the raffle is purchase the specialty bock brew. This cactus is commonly found in desert areas of the southwestern United States and adjacent areas of Mexico. Volunteer Viernes

We would like to congratulate our volunteers of the month, Bob Elder and Lyn Mason. Bob is an incredible Docent and exceptional Docent Captain. His captivating tours always leave smiles on our guests' faces. Lyn is a dedicated and helpful Way Finder. She is exceptional at helping with crowd control at our popular birds of prey show, Raptor Free Flight. We could not do what we do without them. Thank you for being such a great addition to the family.  Volunteer Today!
